Oy, it's been awhile since I've posted. Unfortunately, the end of the term has arrived and I'm frantically trying to get projects done, tests studied for, and my sanity reclaimed... But in typical college student fashion, I'll set aside the books for a good ole time consuming blog post :)
But what to talk about? Why do I have this problem so often? I have so much to say everyday, but when it comes time to put it into words, it seems unneccessary.
So I'll just randomly through thoughts out there.. respond as you please...
I wonder, who else organizes their computer files as anally as I do.
I wonder what makes people chose to use a standard backpack versus the "messenger" style.
How did we ever come up with the standard units of measurement? It makes no sense, 12 inches to a foot, three foots to a yard, 2 cups to a pint, 16 cups to a gallon....
I wonder why more people don't give blood.
I wonder if Swine Flu really is a big deal, if we should be concerned, or if everyone was just freaking out needlessly.
I wonder how I'm going to really feel when I get braces on again.
Why don't we (my friends and I) do more crazy, random, spur-of-the-moment things?
I wonder what my brother will be when he grows up.
Isn't it kind of crazy the random jobs people have, and how somehow we are able to define a purpose for 95% of our citizens career-wise. Just look at some of the business cards people put in those "Drop a Business Card, Win Lunch" jars at restaurants. (Senior Executive Analyst... what does that mean?)
What is Star Trek REALLY about?
Is Star Wars supposed to be occurring in the past, present, or future? It says "A long time ago...." but if it happened in the past, where did all the super fast space crafts go? And the talking aliens? And Naboo?
Why are video games so appealing to the males of our world?
Does hand sanitizer work? Is it a government conspiracy to make us think we are safe from virulent germs, but really it doesn't do anything?
What do those "I'm a PC" commercials even mean? She's a computer? She looks like a girl to me...
Why would anyone pay 250 dollars for a coffeemaker? I'm looking at wedding registries...
Who comes up with card games? What is the process like?
Did people talk more in public areas before walkmans, portable CD players, mp3's, etc? It seems the world would be a much more friendly place if everyone took out their headphones and conversed with their neighbors.
Just some points to ponder :)
Have a wonderful day everyone! T minus 18 hours until I'm free from school!
Always,
K
